Home / Why I Am Running
Coming out of the pandemic, there has been a varying decline in the academic performance of our students. We need to focus education back to the basics: reading, writing, mathematics. These fundamentals are the foundation to higher learning and success.
Students should be taught how to collect data and information so that they will be able to think for themselves, as well as rationally, logically, and factually be able to support their findings. Parents need to be able to trust the district with their children, which includes proper and open communication.
Our children are our most precious gifts in life. They deserve to have every opportunity afforded to them and an education that allows them to make the most of those opportunities.
The mental health of students, teachers, and administrators needs to be addressed and nourished. Parents need to know that their children are being cared for and instructed in a safe environment.

In my career, I have had the opportunity to work with all aspects of government, charities and service groups. I have mentored, instructed and encouraged our youth as an explorer advisor, high school coach and father.
I have been able to work collectively to develop and build programs and solutions for today’s problems as well as future concerns. The experience I have gathered throughout my life allows me to honestly and effectively work with students, parents, teachers, and administrators. My relationships with each group will allow me to have meaningful communication and focus on collective solutions. Together we can move forward as a district to provide our students the environment and education they deserve.
