He found his calling as a police officer, serving time at the Inglewood Police Department before coming home to the Chino Police Department. At the Chino Police Department, he has served in the elite SWAT unit and as a School Resource Officer. In 2015, Jon was recognized as the “Officer of the Year” for his actions in keeping the community safe. With the many successes in Jon’s life, he still considers his greatest success to be his family. He is married to the love of his life, Kalli, for over 26 years and together they have raised five children who have graduated from the Chino Valley Unified School District. In his spare time Jon is active coaching at Don Lugo for the Junior Varsity Softball Team.
Our children are our most precious gifts in life. They deserve to have every opportunity afforded to them and an education that allows them to make the most of those opportunities.
The mental health of students, teachers, and administrators needs to be addressed and nourished. Parents need to know that their children are being cared for and instructed in a safe environment.
Coming out of the pandemic, there has been a varying decline in the academic performance of our students. We need to focus education back to the basics: reading, writing, mathematics. These fundamentals are the foundation to higher learning and success.
